What is the estimated number of Indians in each province of the Republic who have passed (a) Std. VI, (b) Std. VIII and (c) Std. X.

The figures indicate the number of Asians who passed Std. VI, Std. VIII and Std. X at the date of the census, that is 6th May; 1970, but who at that date had attained no higher standard except in the case of Std. X, in which are also included persons with higher qualifications, such as bachelors, masters and doctors degrees, because the figure for Std. X only is not available. About 98 per cent of Asians are Indians. The figures are preliminary.

  2. (2) how many of these sites are owned by (a) his Department, (b) the Durban Corporation, (c) private White owners and (d) private Indian owners;
